Welcome to the Barbara Comstock Program for Women in Leadership at the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University.
This will be the home to my “Young Women’s Leadership Program” which I developed as a summer program for young women (high school and junior high students) in 2013 when I was in the Virginia House of Delegates. I continued the program throughout my two terms in Congress representing Virginia’s 10th District, and now it will have a home at the Schar School as part of this new women in leadership effort.
Nearly 2,000 young women have participated in this one-of-a-kind summer “camp,” in which the participants meet and are inspired by women in leadership roles in all walks of life. The program will be the anchor for other initiatives as the Barbara Comstock Program for Women in Leadership at the Schar School expands into internships, seminars, and symposiums dedicated to promoting successful careers for professional women of all ages.
